Flitsmeister

In the third quarter of this year, the Dutch Advertising Code Committee received 759 complaints and notifications. One of those complaints was directed against Flitsmeister who offered the complainant Flitsmeister PRO. The advantage of this app was that the user would no longer see advertising. Nevertheless, the complainant received a message in which "soundpack" was offered, an application through which traffic is read by a famous (Dutch) person. The Committee considers that the commendation of the 'soundpack' is considered advertising. The promise made by the defendant in the text ("Don't see any advertisements? first create an account and then buy PRO for €8.99 per year"), is not fulfilled. For this reason, no correct information has been provided about the main characteristics of the product and the statement is misleading and therefore unfair. The Commission recommends that the defendant no longer advertises in such a way. Read the judgment here (only available in Dutch).
